United Kingdom: BBC iPlayer and ITVX
The strongest long-term free option is in the UK. BBC and ITV signed a 4-year agreement covering the 2026–2029 Men’s Six Nations. ITV carried 10 matches in 2026, including every England game, while BBC carried the other 5.
“Free-to-air” does not mean free of eligibility rules. You need a valid UK TV Licence for every BBC iPlayer program and for live TV on ITVX. BBC says iPlayer is restricted to UK residents, while ITV says live and on-demand ITVX programs cannot be streamed outside the UK.
Ireland: RTÉ Player and Virgin Media Play
RTÉ and Virgin Media split the Irish coverage. Their 2026 schedule made every match available live and free-to-air, and their new agreement keeps the championship on free television through 2029.
Use the round-by-round schedule to see whether a game is on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player or a Virgin Media channel and Virgin Media Play. No sports subscription is required, but territorial conditions still apply online.
United States: Peacock
Peacock was the exclusive live streaming home for all 15 US matches in 2026. Its current entry price was $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year when checked in July 2026.
Do not buy a full year solely on the assumption that the 2027 schedule will be identical. Confirm Peacock’s Six Nations page first. Peacock’s terms also limit use to the United States and its territories and possessions, so a US subscription is not a worldwide rugby pass.
Canada, Australia, and France
Premier Sports launched its Canadian rugby service for the 2026 Six Nations. Its official FAQ listed an auto-renewing 1-month pass at CA$29.99, and the launch announcement covered every match live and on demand.
In Australia, Stan Sport includes the Six Nations. The lowest listed combination at our July check was AU$32 per month: AU$12 for Stan Basic plus the AU$20 Sport add-on. Stan says its content can be streamed in Australia only and uses technology to verify location.
France offered a useful free alternative in 2026. TF1+ carried TF1’s 9 assigned matches, while france.tv hosted Six Nations live coverage and replays. Check both services once the 2027 split is published instead of assuming one app has every fixture.
The 2027 Six Nations schedule and format
The 2027 Men’s Six Nations starts on Friday, February 5 and ends on Saturday, March 13. The official fixture list provides kickoff times for each round; the broadcaster’s program guide remains the final check for channel and streaming details.
England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales contest the championship. Each team plays the other 5 once, with home advantage alternating between seasons. That produces 15 matches over 5 rounds.
UK and Irish rights already extend through 2029. In the US, Canada, Australia, and France, use the 2026 services as a shortlist and wait for a 2027 fixture page before committing money.
