Yes, VPN Unlimited has a genuine 7-day free trial. Its Windows download page says first-time desktop users can start it after installing the app and creating a KeepSolid ID, with no credit card required. The Android app also presents new users with a choice between the free trial and a paid plan.
That 7-day access is the free trial. VPN Unlimited’s 30-day money-back guarantee is different: you pay first, then request an eligible refund. The official product pages do not advertise a permanent free tier. These terms were checked on July 16, 2026.

The 30-day refund policy is not a free trial

One-time purchases are also eligible when the request is made within 30 days of purchase. That matters for VPN Unlimited’s lifetime plan, but it does not make the plan free: the full price leaves your account first.
Cancellation and refund are separate actions. Canceling stops future billing where applicable, but it does not automatically create a refund request. The purchase channel also determines where you ask for the money back:
- Apple, Google Play, Amazon, and Microsoft Store purchases use the relevant platform’s refund process.

The lifetime figure is not a typo: the live provider page and independent June 2026 coverage both displayed $5,599.99. Older promotional pages and search snippets can show dramatically lower totals, so the final checkout amount matters more than an old coupon. Save the amount due now, the subscription length, the next billing date, and the next charge shown before paying.
For website subscriptions paid by credit card or PayPal, VPN Unlimited says renewal is automatic unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage auto-renewal in the Payments section of the KeepSolid User Office. Store-billed subscriptions must be managed through that store.
The lifetime option avoids recurring subscription charges, but its current standard price makes it exceptionally poor value beside the annual plan.
